Origin of
Brewsom Coffee
We are the third generation of coffee roasters since our grandfather K. Dhanukodipal opened “Brother’s Coffee Works” in 1956. Brothers Coffee was a popular coffee roaster and filter coffee producer around the Chennai Suburbs of Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, and Thiruvallur districts. Brothers Coffee was the first to introduce 10paisa single-dose coffee in the early 1970s. Brothers Coffee is still operational in Pattabiram, Chennai.
One of the founders Padhu, has a vast roasting experience learnt from the bests including our uncles at Brothers Coffee and Sudha Coffee. Padhu has been running Anitha Coffee Company for over 5 years in Chennai mostly dealing with B2B of roasted coffee and filter coffee blends. He has a clear understanding of Coffee chemistry and flavours relating to different roasting levels.
Vaiks, our founder is a techie and home brewer. He was part of companies like Nvidia, AMD and Microsoft working over a span of 20 years. Vaiks has been doing various brewing techniques for years. He is a home barista and a coffee connoisseur who attended multiple coffee cupping and tasting sessions. Vaiks is focussed on business development and new product launches.
Our Concept
We have setup our first experience centre near Hormavu for our customers to experience fresh roasts from our collection of coffee beans. We are in the process of setting up a chain of experience centres to help customers understand what is a good coffee. Our experience centres will have everything available on the coffee land and everything required for manual brewing.
We also organise workshops every Sunday to help our customers understand coffee and give them a DIY experience with various manual brewing techniques.

Brewsom Coffee is a brand established to combine traditional roasting techniques with modern requirements for Speciality coffee. Brewsom Coffee is currently dealing with Dark, Medium, Vienna roasts of Arabica beans, a light roast of Arabica Naturals and a dark roast of Arabica Peaberry. All our coffee beans are from Chikmagalur with altitudes greater than 1100m.
